Hazard Cave

The Cumberland Plateau in Tennessee is a wonderous place. There is much to see and explore, including several beautiful state parks and Big South Fork National Park too. We recently visited Pickett State Park on TN Hwy 154, and enjoyed a 3 mile trail hike to Hazard Cave. The hike is moderate, with a few uphill sections but nothing overly strenuous. The scenery is diverse and lovely and the terrain intriguing. Not only the cave (which isn’t deep, but deep enough to know you’re in a cave), but there’s a slot canyon too. I highly recommend!
